GuidedNet: A General CNN Fusion Framework via High-Resolution Guidance for Hyperspectral Image Super-Resolution

Ran Ran et al.

Summary: This article proposes a convolutional neural network (CNN) based framework called GuidedNet for high-resolution hyperspectral image super-resolution (HISR) that can effectively predict high-resolution residual details to improve spatial quality and preserve spectral information. The proposed approach also works well for other resolution enhancement tasks. Extensive experiments demonstrate the state-of-the-art outcomes of the framework in various applications.

Image Super-Resolution via Iterative Refinement

Chitwan Saharia et al.

Summary: We propose SR3, a method for image Super-Resolution via Repeated Refinement. SR3 utilizes denoising diffusion probabilistic models for image-to-image translation, achieving super-resolution through a stochastic iterative denoising process. SR3 demonstrates strong performance on various super-resolution tasks, particularly on faces and natural images.

Accurate mapping of Chinese coastal aquaculture ponds using biophysical parameters based on Sentinel-2 time series images

Ya Peng et al.

Summary: This paper proposes an efficient method to map coastal aquaculture ponds at a national scale by integrating spatial characteristics and three biophysical parameters. Results show that aquaculture intensity mainly concentrates in the coastal buffer zone, making it an effective approach for large-scale mapping projects.

A brief survey on RGB-D semantic segmentation using deep learning*

Changshuo Wang et al.

Summary: Semantic segmentation is the process of linking each pixel in an image to a class label, recognizing objects based on color and texture for easier evaluation. While RGB image methods perform well, RGB-D semantic segmentation with depth information has been proven to achieve better results.

RCSANet: A Full Convolutional Network for Extracting Inland Aquaculture Ponds from High-Spatial-Resolution Images

Zhe Zeng et al.

Summary: The study focuses on large-scale extraction of aquaculture ponds using high-spatial-resolution remote sensing images. A Row-wise and Column-wise Self-Attention mechanism, combined with a fully convolutional network, is proposed for accurate and efficient extraction. A fusion strategy using a water index and the RCSANet prediction is implemented to further improve the extraction quality, resulting in overall accuracy improvement of 2-4% over other state-of-the-art methods.
