Calibration and field deployment of low-cost sensor network to monitor underground pipeline leakage

Parameters of Nonlinear Laws of Longitudinal Interaction of Underground Pipelines with Soil

Summary: This study considers the nonlinear laws of interaction between underground pipelines and soil, based on the linear-elastic and visco-elastic laws of shear strain in soils, as well as Coulomb's law. Mathematical expressions are derived to relate the interaction parameters to the strength characteristics of soil under shear, enabling their use in calculations for the seismic resistance of underground pipelines.
