Calibration of phase-only liquid-crystal spatial light modulators by diffractogram analysis

Xin Liu et al.

Summary: In this paper, a novel method based on diffractogram analysis is proposed to calibrate the SLM with high accuracy, without the need for additional optical devices and with higher tolerance to external factors.

Single-shot common-path off-axis digits holography: applications in bioimaging and optical metrology [Invited]

Manoj Kumar et al.

Summary: The demand for single-shot and common-path holographic systems has been increasing, as they offer advantages such as reduced computational complexity and high stability. A single-shot common-path off-axis digital holographic setup based on a beam splitter and pinhole has been developed for applications including quantitative phase imaging, micro-optics testing, industrial inspection, and sound field visualization.

Phase response optimization of a liquid crystal spatial light modulator with partially coherent light

Praveen Kumar et al.

Summary: The paper demonstrates a method to determine and calibrate the modulation characteristics of a liquid crystal spatial light modulator (SLM) for on-axis phase response with partially coherent light. A polarimetric approach is implemented to obtain the phase characterization curve of the SLM, correcting phase response errors and ensuring a linear relationship between addressed phase and phase delay. Experimental results verify the feasibility of the proposed approach.
