Viruses, especially in developed countries, are the main cause of myocarditis. Coxsackie and echoviruses are the most common cardiotropic viruses causing this condition. Herpes simplex virus-induced myocarditis is uncommon, with only a few cases of HSV type II reported so far. This article presents a rare case of subacute herpetic myocarditis in a 35-year-old male patient.
