Accuracy and efficiency of guided root-end resection using a dynamic navigation system: a human cadaver study

Summary: This study aimed to compare the accuracy and efficiency of a dynamic navigation system (DNS) with a freehand (FH) technique for root-end resection in a human cadaver model. The results showed that the DNS group had significantly lower linear deviations, angular deflection, and operation time compared to the FH group. The distance of roots from the buccal cortical plate negatively impacted the accuracy and efficacy of the root-end resection procedure for the FH technique, but not for the DNS system.

Prognostic Factors after Endodontic Microsurgery: A Retrospective Study of 111 Cases with 5 to 9 Years of Follow-up

Microguided endodontics: Accuracy evaluation for access through intraroot fibre-post

The results showed that periapical radiography had higher sensitivity than panoramic radiography both preoperatively and postoperatively, while CBCT measurements indicated larger lesion volumes compared to those obtained from periapical and panoramic radiographs.
