Novel C-H•••O hydrogen-bonded supramolecular complexes of 18-crown-6 with 1-alkylpyridinium iodide and its amino derivatives: Third-order nonlinear optical properties and Hirshfeld surface analysis

C. Balakrishnan et al.

Summary: Five supramolecular complexes of 18-crown-6 with 1-alkylpyridinium iodide and its amino derivatives were successfully synthesized using the slow evaporation solution growth technique. The crystal structure analysis revealed that the complexes belong to the monoclinic system, with some exhibiting centrosymmetric structures. The supramolecular architecture in the crystal packing is constructed through hydrogen bonding interactions and weak Van der Waals forces.
