Degradation of tetracycline hydrochloride by ultrafine TiO2 nanoparticles modified g-C3N4 heterojunction photocatalyst: Influencing factors, products and mechanism insight

Summary: In this study, a unique heterojunction photocatalyst of graphite carbon nitride modified ultrafine TiO2 was fabricated and its photocatalytic degradation performance for tetracycline hydrochloride (TC) was investigated. The effects of various environmental factors on the degradation process and the internal reaction mechanism were explored. The results showed that the photocatalyst exhibited high removal efficiency for TC and excellent anti-interference ability to ions in natural waters. The main reactive species for TC degradation were identified, and a possible mechanism for the photocatalytic system was proposed.

Novel Ag3PO4 modified tubular carbon nitride with visible-light-driven peroxymonosulfate activation: A wide pH tolerance and reaction mechanism

Summary: In this study, a novel Ag3PO4 modified tubular porous carbon nitride (Ag3PO4@TPCN12) photocatalyst was fabricated and its photocatalytic activity for organic compound degradation was evaluated under visible light irradiation. The results showed that the photocatalyst exhibited excellent degradation performance in the presence of peroxymonosulfate (PMS), with a wide pH tolerance. Various reactive species were identified as the main contributors to the degradation process. This study has significant implications for the degradation of organic compounds in water.

In-situ polymerization of polycarbazole-zinc oxide nanocomposite: An in silico docking model and in vitro antibacterial biomaterial

Summary: This study focuses on the synthesis and characterization of polycarbazole-zinc oxide (PCz/ZnO) nanocomposite, and its applications in antibacterial biomaterial and molecular docking. The results showed successful polymerization of Cz on the surfaces of ZnO nanoparticles, and the PCz/ZnO nanocomposite exhibited better thermal stability compared to pristine PCz. The nanocomposite also demonstrated strong antibacterial activity against various bacteria, and the molecular docking suggested favorable binding affinity between PCz/ZnO and B-DNA.
