Work-family trajectories and health: A systematic review

Vendula Machu et al.

Summary: This systematic review examines the evidence of work-family trajectories and their association with health. The study finds significant differences in work-family trajectories between men and women, with less variation in the youngest age cohorts. Work-family trajectories are associated with health outcomes, with certain trajectories linked to worse health. Further research is needed to investigate the longitudinal associations between work-family trajectories and health, as well as the underlying factors influencing these relationships.

Mental and somatic disorders and the subsequent risk of all-cause and cause-specific mortality in refugees, non-refugee migrants and the Swedish-born youth: a population-based cohort study in Sweden

Magnus Helgesson et al.

Summary: This study investigated the associations between specific mental and somatic disorders and subsequent mortality (suicide, external and other causes) in young refugees, non-refugee migrants, and Swedish-born individuals. The results showed that refugees and non-refugee migrants had a lower risk of all-cause and specific cause mortality compared to Swedish-born individuals. The reduction in suicide risk was even greater for refugees and non-refugee migrants. The study suggested the need for further research on protective factors.
