Black Hole in Quantum Wave Dark Matter

Reggie C. Pantig et al.

Summary: In this work, the researchers investigated the impact of fuzzy dark matter (FDM) or wave dark matter on a supermassive black hole (SMBH). By treating the FDM as a spherical distribution surrounding the SMBH, they obtained a new metric that combines the black hole and dark matter spacetime geometries. The study also analyzed the effects of soliton dark matter on the shadow behavior and weak deflection angle, and found considerable deviations that suggest the possible experimental detection of soliton dark matter using an SMBH at the galactic centers.

Weak deflection angle and shadow cast by the charged-Kiselev black hole with cloud of strings in plasma

Summary: In this study, the gravitational deflection angle of photons in the weak field limit and shadow cast by the electrically charged and spherically symmetric static Kiselev black hole in the string cloud background are investigated. The influences of the BH charge Q, quintessence parameter gamma, and string cloud parameter a on the weak deflection angle, radius of photon spheres, and size of the BH shadow are studied. Moreover, the effects of plasma on the weak deflection angle and shadow cast by the charged-Kiselev BH surrounded by the clouds of strings are analyzed. Data from the Event Horizon Telescope collaboration are used to obtain constraints on the values of the parameters gamma and a.

Quasinormal modes of nonlinearly charged black holes surrounded by a cloud of strings in Rastall gravity

Summary: In this paper, we study the black hole solution for the ABG-type black hole surrounded by a cloud of strings in Rastall gravity. We calculate the quasinormal modes and analyze the effects of nonlinear electrodynamic sources, the magnitude of charge, the cloud of strings parameter, and the Rastall parameter on these modes. The results show that the quasinormal modes are influenced by the type of nonlinear electrodynamic sources and the decay rate of gravitational waves depends on the magnitude of charge and the values of the model parameters.

4D scale-dependent Schwarzschild-AdS/dS black holes: study of shadow and weak deflection angle and greybody bounding

Ali Ovgun et al.

Summary: We investigate the shadow, deflection angle, and greybody bounding of a Schwarzschild-AdS/dS black hole in scale dependent gravity. We constrain the parameter epsilon using EHT data and find that it ranges at orders of magnitude of 10(-11) - 10(-16) for Sgr. A* and 10(-11) - 10(-17) for M87*. The behavior of shadow radius perceived by a static observer varies near the cosmological horizon even with the same scaling parameters for Sgr. A* and M87*. The deflection angle strongly depends on massive particles and the effect of epsilon on Sgr. A* is limited to points of low impact parameters.

We find that the azimuthal oscillations of photon boomerangs around rotating PFDM black holes behave differently for prograde and retrograde orbits. By using observational results from the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT), we obtain upper bounds on the PFDM parameter and conclude that rotating PFDM black holes could be strong candidates for astrophysical black holes.

Quasinormal modes of black holes in f(Q) gravity

Dhruba Jyoti Gogoi et al.

Summary: In this work, we studied the quasinormal modes of a black hole in f(Q) Sigma nin f(Q) gravity using the Bernstein spectral method, and validated the method with the Pade averaged higher-order WKB approximation method. We considered scalar and electromagnetic perturbations in the black hole spacetime and obtained the corresponding quasinormal modes. We found that the quasinormal frequencies in scalar perturbation are higher than those in electromagnetic perturbation for a non-vanishing nonmetricity scalar Q0. However, the damping rate of gravitational waves is higher for electromagnetic perturbation. Time domain profiles for both types of perturbations were also investigated to confirm the quasinormal mode behavior.

Probing hairy black holes caused by gravitational decoupling using quasinormal modes and greybody bounds

Yi Yang et al.

Summary: Gravitational decoupling can add hair to black holes, and we investigated the quasinormal modes of hairy black holes caused by gravitational decoupling. We derived the equations of effective potential for three perturbations in a hairy black hole spacetime and studied their time evolution. By analyzing the influence of the hairs (alpha, l0, and Q) on quasinormal modes, we found that alpha and l0 decrease the oscillation frequency of gravitational-wave signal, while Q increases it. Additionally, we calculated the bounds of the greybody factor and high-energy absorption cross section, showing that primary hair generated by charges (alpha and l0) can increase the probability of gravitational radiation reaching spatial infinity, while the charge Q from extra sources has the opposite effect.

Testing symmergent gravity through the shadow image and weak field photon deflection by a rotating black hole using the M87*and Sgr. A* results

Reggie C. Pantig et al.

Summary: This paper investigates rotating black holes in symmergent gravity and uses deviations from the Kerr black hole to constrain the parameters. Symmergent gravity introduces the gravitational constant G and quadratic curvature coefficient c(O) from flat space-time matter loops. By studying the photon sphere, shadow size, and deflection angle, the authors find significant deviations and sensitivity of black holes to symmergent gravity effects. The analysis also reveals the influence of the distance between the source, receiver, and lensing object on the deflection angle, and the necessity of a negative c(O) for a consistent solution.
