A Perfect Decomposition Model for Analyzing Transportation Energy Consumption in China

Summary: Energy consumption in the transportation industry is increasing, making it one of the fastest-growing energy-consuming sectors. This paper proposes an improved decomposition model to quantitatively decompose the influencing factors of transportation energy consumption. The results show that there is significant energy-saving potential in adjusting transportation structure, and transportation energy intensity is the main factor for energy conservation. These research findings enrich the relevant theory of transportation energy consumption and aid in the development of transportation energy planning and related policies.

The impact of energy efficiency on carbon emissions: Evidence from the transportation sector in Chinese 30 provinces
