Mesenchymal Stem Cell Immunomodulation: A Novel Intervention Mechanism in Cardiovascular Disease

Yueyao Wang et al.

Summary: Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have the potential for multi-directional differentiation and immune regulation, making them a promising source for cell therapy in inflammation, immune diseases, and organ transplantation. In recent years, MSCs have shown potential as a novel therapeutic strategy for cardiovascular diseases by regulating the immune system and promoting the formation of a stable inflammatory microenvironment. This review summarizes the immunoregulatory characteristics and potential mechanisms of MSCs, emphasizing their effects on immune cells and their application in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
