Antiparasitic effect of copper alloy mesh on tomont stage of Cryptocaryon irritans in aquaculture

Aysha Zahid et al.

Summary: Copper alloy mesh (CAM) has been found to effectively prevent cryptocaryoniasis outbreaks. It has shown both killing effectiveness against the early stages of Cryptocaryon irritans and the ability to protect fish from infections. CAM has similar anticryptocaryoniasis effects as copper alloy sheets but with the advantages of being lightweight, low labor cost, and affordable. Additionally, CAM prevents the excessive accumulation of copper ions in aquaculture seawater.

Zinc Essentiality, Toxicity, and Its Bacterial Bioremediation: A Comprehensive Insight

Sarfraz Hussain et al.

Summary: Zinc is an abundant heavy metal in the Earth's crust and is essential for the growth of living beings. It can be both beneficial and toxic. While it can be obtained from vegetables, beef, and dairy products, excessive intake of zinc supplements can lead to toxicity. In the environment, excessive levels of zinc can affect soil and water microbial diversity and the bioavailability of other metals. Certain bacteria have been identified as promising agents for zinc bioremediation.
