Systematic calculations of cluster radioactivity half-lives in trans-lead nuclei

Lin-Jing Qi et al.

Summary: In this study, based on the Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin (WKB) theory, the cluster radioactivity half-lives of a range of trans-lead nuclei were systematically investigated, considering the cluster pre-formation probability. The calculated results showed good agreement with experimental data and outperformed other models.

Systematic study of proton radioactivity half-lives

Yang-Yang Xu et al.

Summary: In this study, an improved Gamow model is proposed based on the screened electrostatic effect of the Coulomb potential. The model includes two adjustable parameters that represent the combined effect of interaction potential and reduced mass on the proton radioactivity half-life. The proton radioactivity half-lives of spherical and deformed nuclei are systematically calculated using this model, with corresponding root-mean-square deviations obtained. The model is also used to predict the proton radioactivity half-lives of certain nuclei and compared with the universal decay law proposed by Qi et al.

Systematic study on the proton radioactivity of spherical proton emitters

Dong-Meng Zhang et al.

Summary: In this study, the proton radioactivity half-lives of spherical proton emitters with 69 =Z = 81 were systematically investigated using a two-potential approach. The calculated half-lives were found to accurately reproduce the experimental data. Additionally, the model was extended to predict the half-lives of 17 proton emitting candidates not yet quantified in NUBASE2020, and the predicted results were consistent with other models used for comparison.

Cluster decay half-lives using asymmetry dependent densities

V Dehghani et al.

Summary: This study investigates the half-lives of cluster decay by adopting different neutron and proton density distributions and utilizing double-folding potentials with various sets of nuclear density parameters. The results show a general agreement between theory and experiment for all parameter sets, while also highlighting the significant role of the asymmetry parameter in generating large differences in various assumptions.

Two-proton radioactivity within Coulomb and proximity potential model

De-Xing Zhu et al.

Summary: In this study, we systematically investigate the two-proton (2p) radioactivity half-lives of nuclei near the proton drip line, considering the preformation probability of the emitted protons. We extend the Coulomb and proximity potential model (CPPM) and apply it to predict the half-lives of potential 2p radioactive candidates. The predicted results are in good agreement with those from other theoretical models and empirical formulas.

An improved formula for the favored α decay half-lives

Yang-Yang Xu et al.

Summary: In this study, an improved semi-empirical formula is proposed to evaluate the favored alpha decay half-lives of even-even, odd-A and odd-odd nuclei. The formula is able to reproduce experimental data and predict the alpha decay half-lives of unquantified nuclei.

Systematic study of alpha and cluster preformation probability using new empirical formulae

K. Prathapan et al.

Summary: The preformation probability of clusters in heavy nuclei is studied by comparing different formula predictions with experimentally extracted values. It is found that most formulae overpredict the preformation probabilities, except for one formula. Four new empirical formulae are proposed and shown to be in good agreement with predictions from different theoretical models.

Two-proton radioactivity of the excited state within the Gamow-like and modified Gamow-like models

De-Xing Zhu et al.

Summary: This study systematically investigated the two-proton radioactivity half-lives from the excited state of nuclei near the proton drip line using the Gamow-like model and modified Gamow-like model. The calculated results were highly consistent with theoretical values from other models, and it was found that the half-lives are strongly dependent on Q(2p) and l based on the analysis of the results.

Improved Geiger-Nuttall law for α-decay half-lives of heavy and superheavy nuclei

Song Luo et al.

Summary: In this work, an improved Geiger-Nuttall law is proposed to calculate alpha-decay half-lives of heavy and superheavy nuclei, taking into account the blocking effect of unpaired nucleons and the orbital angular momentum taken away by the emitted alpha particle. The formula is fitted with experimental data and shows good agreement. It is also extended to predict alpha-decay half-lives for nuclei with Z = 117, 118, 119 and 120.

An improved semi-empirical relationship for cluster radioactivity *

Yanzhao Wang et al.

Summary: An improved semi-empirical relationship for cluster radioactivity half-lives is proposed by incorporating an accurate charge radius formula and an analytic expression of the preformation probability, leading to significantly improved accuracy compared to the previous relationship. Additionally, this new semi-empirical formula predicts cluster radioactivity half-lives for experimentally unavailable trans-lead and trans-tin nuclei, which may aid in the search for new cluster emitters in future experiments.

Systematic studies on a decay half-lives of neptunium isotopes

You-Tian Zou et al.

Summary: The study systematically investigates the alpha decay half-lives of neptunium isotopes using the one-parameter model (OPM) and found reasonable agreement with experimental data. Notably, the model accurately reproduces the recently measured alpha decay half-life of Np-222 within a factor of approximately 2. Additionally, the study extends the model to predict alpha decay half-lives of neptunium isotopes and extracts alpha particle preformation probability in different cases.
