Investigation of the inter-ionic interactions of an imidazolium-based ionic liquid with the aqueous solutions of tripotassium citrate and trisodium citrate through volumetric, acoustic and FTIR routes

Sudhansu Sekhar Pattanaik et al.

Summary: This study investigates the characteristics of an imidazolium-based ionic liquid in water and aqueous solutions of tri-potassium citrate and tri-sodium citrate. The results suggest that the ionic liquid has structure-making ability in the studied solutions and exhibits hydrogen bond interactions with water and the citrate solutions.

Exploration of intermolecular interactions of the anti-tuberculosis drug, isoniazid with the citrate salt solutions using viscometric, acoustic, and spectroscopic techniques

Mamata Pradhan et al.

Summary: This study investigates molecular interactions of isoniazid (INH) in pure water and INH + water + K(3)Cit/Na(3)Cit systems through the analysis of viscosity, thermo-acoustic, and spectroscopic properties. The results indicate the presence of hydrogen bonding and other interactions among the solvent-solvent, drug-drug, and drug-solvent systems.

Pharmacological classification of anticancer drugs applying chromatographic retention data and chemometric analysis

Marcin Gackowski et al.

Summary: The combination of chromatography and chemometrics is used to provide information about drug analytes, biological macromolecules, and stationary phase. In this study, a pharmacological classification was made to predict the activity of anticancer drugs using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) method. The lipophilicity parameters of selected antitumor drugs, molecular modeling descriptors, and biological activity were used to establish relationship models.
