New test of neutrino oscillation coherence with Leggett-Garg inequality

Xing-Zhi Wang et al.

Summary: This study presents a Leggett-Garg-type inequality compatible with neutrino oscillation frameworks, and applies it to test coherence in different experiments. The results show clear violations of the inequality in the Daya Bay and MINOS data, while KamLAND data also exhibit some violations.

Complete complementarity relations for quantum correlations in neutrino oscillations

V. A. S. V. Bittencourt et al.

Summary: This article analyzes quantum correlations and quantum coherence in neutrino oscillations. The complete complementarity relations (CCR) are used to fully characterize the interplay between different correlations in both pure and mixed states. The study finds a complex structure of correlations in mixed states, depending on the mixing angle, and shows the connection with the non-local advantage of quantum coherence.

Experimental violations of Leggett-Garg inequalities on a quantum computer

Alessandro Santini et al.

Summary: This study observes the violations of Leggett-Garg's inequalities on single-and multiqubit systems using the IBM Quantum platform, and introduces Leggett-Garg-Bell's inequalities as an alternative. Quantum error mitigation is found to be essential for detecting inequality violations. Leggett-Garg-Bell's inequalities are assessed as the most efficient quantum coherence witnesses for investigating quantum hardware. The analysis also reveals the limitations of current quantum platforms.

Neutrino Mixing and Oscillations in Quantum Field Theory: A Comprehensive Introduction

Luca Smaldone et al.

Summary: In this paper, we reviewed some of the main results of the quantum field theoretical approach to neutrino mixing and oscillations, showing the exact oscillation formula, the underlying gauge theory structure, and the entanglement between mixed neutrinos. Additionally, we discussed flavor energy uncertainty relations and the emergence of flavor vacuum in certain models with dynamical symmetry breaking.

New physics effects on quantum coherence in neutrino oscillations

Khushboo Dixit et al.

Summary: This study investigates the effects of new physics on quantum coherence, which is closely related to various quantum correlation measures. The research finds that standard model interactions provide favorable conditions for quantum information tasks in the context of neutrino oscillations, while non-standard interactions favor inverted ordering scenarios for such tasks.

Experimental violation of the Leggett-Garg inequality using the polarization of classical light

Wenlei Zhang et al.

Summary: In contrast to Bell's inequalities which test spatial correlations, the Leggett-Garg inequalities measure temporal correlations within a single system. We experimentally demonstrated the violation of the Leggett-Garg inequality in a classical optical system using only the polarization degree of freedom of a laser beam, showing maximal violations.

Detecting violations of macrorealism when the original Leggett-Garg inequalities are satisfied

Shayan Majidy et al.

Summary: This paper examines violations of macroscopic realism (MR) in a wider range of data sets and conditions. By exploring different data sets and LGIs, it is found that standard LGIs cannot completely detect violations of MR. The study also discusses possible experimental implementations in various scenarios in a spin-1 system.

Flavor-vacuum entanglement in boson mixing

Massimo Blasone et al.

Summary: The study investigates the condensate structure of flavor vacuum resulting from the superposition of two neutral scalar bosonic fields, quantifying the flavor vacuum entanglement with the von Neumann entanglement entropy of the reduced state. It further shows that the flavor vacuum resembles the thermal vacuum of thermo field dynamics in a suitable limit, with a temperature dependent on both the mixing angle and the particle mass difference.
