The Influence of Mental Health on Job Satisfaction: Mediating Effect of Psychological Capital and Social Capital

Summary: Using data from the 2018 Chinese Family Panel Studies, this study explores the mechanisms of mental health on job satisfaction from the internal perspective (psychological capital) and external perspective (social capital) based on the mood-congruent theory. The results show that the positive component of mental health has a positive effect on job satisfaction, while the negative component has a negative effect. Additionally, psychological capital and social capital mediate the relationship between mental health and job satisfaction.

Workload and job satisfaction among Austrian pediatricians: gender and generational aspects

Summary: This study evaluated different factors that contribute to workload and job satisfaction among Austrian pediatricians. The results showed that higher working hours and patient numbers were associated with lower job satisfaction. Administrative work and lack of time for patient consultation also negatively impacted job satisfaction. Age and gender also played a role in job satisfaction.
