Co-Doped NiSe nanowires supported on nickel foam (NF) were successfully synthesized using NiSe NWs/NF as precursor template in a facile cation exchange approach. Synthesis of the Co-doped NiSe NWs/NF was confirmed by XRD, SEM images, XPS, EDX and HRTEM. Electrochemical performance of Co-doped NiSe NWs/NF in the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) was investigated. The as-obtained nanomaterials exhibited significantly enhanced activated activity compared with pure NiSe NWs/NF toward the OER. The Co-doped NiSe NWs/NF demonstrated dramatically enhanced OER activity with much lower overpotential of 283 mV at 100 mA cm(-2) than those of other NiSe-based electrocatalysts.
