Superconductivity and Normal-State Properties of Kagome Metal RbV3Sb5 Single Crystals

Qiangwei Yin et al.

Summary: The discovery of superconductivity in RbV3Sb5 single crystals with V kagome lattice is reported, showing a superconducting transition at around 0.92K. Anomalies in properties at T* around 102-103K are observed, possibly linked to the formation of a charge ordering state. The drastic change and sign reversal of the Hall coefficient R-H at T* can be partially explained by enhanced mobility of hole-type carriers, with quantum oscillations indicating the presence of small Fermi surfaces with low effective mass.

DyOCl: A rare-earth based two-dimensional van der Waals material with strong magnetic anisotropy

Congkuan Tian et al.

Summary: Rare-earth based van der Waals material DyOCl is explored in this research for intrinsic two-dimensional magnetism, revealing its large magnetic anisotropy and ferromagnetic potential. Mechanical exfoliation of DyOCl to seven layers is demonstrated, making it a promising material for investigating 2D f-electron magnetism and spintronic applications at the nanoscale.

Symmetry-protected topological phases in spinful bosons with a flat band

Hong Yang et al.

Summary: This theoretical study demonstrates that interacting symmetry-protected topological (SPT) phases can be achieved with ultracold spinful bosonic atoms on lattices with flat band structure, where the SPT phases are determined by both spin and charge fluctuations. In some special cases, exact many-body ground states of these systems can be obtained, serving as representative states of the SPT phases. Specific examples show that different symmetries can protect SPT phases resulting from either spin or charge fluctuations.

Spin-orbit phase behavior of Na2Co2TeO6 at low temperatures

Wenjie Chen et al.

Summary: The single crystals of Na2Co2TeO6 exhibit complex low-temperature phase behaviors, including a new thermal phase transition with 2D and 3D long-range magnetic orders. Excitations from the 3D order support a triple-q description, contrary to the commonly accepted zigzag nature, indicating a fundamental feedback on high-energy excitations. These findings suggest Na2Co2TeO6 as a spin-orbit entangled frustrated magnet with rich physics.
