Bright blue light-emittingmolecules based on triazatruxene have been prepared and used for nitroaromatic explosive vapor detection. The fiber-optic probe using a star-shaped carbazole-functionalized triazatruxene derivative (TATCz3) as the sensing material exhibits promising potential as an extremely fast-response and highly sensitive sensor for detection of TNT and DNT vapors.
