Targeting activation functionalized catalyst of Ru-loaded ultrathin layered double hydroxides is developed to realize photothermal CO2 methanation in flowtype system. Capability of targeting and simultaneous activation of CO2 and H-2 over this photothermal catalyst enables to achieve approximate to 230 mol h(-1) m(-2) (irradiation area) of maximum yield rate for CH4 production.
