The use of carbon quantum dots (CQDs) in photovoltaic devices has not yet been fully explored. Herein, we report the use of CQDs in MAPI (methyl ammonium lead iodide) perovskite solar cells as a first attempt to implement this material in photovoltaic applications beyond its use as transparent conductive electrode.
