A new BiCMOS optoelectronic integrated circuit (OEIC) for application in advanced power systems is presented. To realize the benefits of silicon power electronics and optical-driving device technology, we present a silicon LED for the purpose of opto-coupler applications, as well as the output driver device of the power integrated circuits.
