Achieving high-capacity and long-life K+ storage enabled by constructing yolk-shell Sb2S3@N, S-doped carbon nanorod anodes

Summary: This study proposes a yolk-shell structured Sb2S3 confined in N, S co-doped hollow carbon nanorod as a promising anode for potassium-ion batteries. The mechanism of performance enhancement and K+ storage of Sb2S3 is elucidated through in situ/ex situ microscopic and spectroscopic characterizations.

Realizing Stable Carbonate Electrolytes in Li-O2/CO2 Batteries†

Summary: In this study, a commercial carbonate electrolyte was proven to be suitable for Li-O-2/CO2 batteries. The electrolyte captured superoxide and reacted with CO2 to form less aggressive intermediates, stabilizing the carbonate electrolyte and avoiding decomposition induced by reactive oxygen species. Additionally, the carbonate electrolyte greatly improved the reversibility of Li metal plating/stripping, enabling the possibility of using ultra-thin Li anode.

The influence of current density dependent Li2CO3 properties on the discharge and charge reactions of Li-CO2/O2 battery

Li-CO2/O2 battery operating at ultra-low overpotential and low O2 content on Pt/CNT catalyst

Progress and challenges of prelithiation technology for lithium-ion battery
