Hereditary hemochromatosis and risk of joint replacement surgery: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Summary: This study found a significantly increased risk of joint replacement surgery among patients with hereditary hemochromatosis, especially for hip and ankle replacements. While the risk of knee replacement surgery also increased, it was not statistically significant. Further research is needed to determine the causal relationship.
