Association between the dietary inflammatory index and chronic daily headache: findings from Dena Persian cohort

Zeinab Sadri et al.

Summary: This cross-sectional study aimed to investigate the association between chronic daily headache (CDH) and the dietary inflammatory index (DII). The results showed that a higher DII score (proinflammatory diets) was associated with a lower prevalence of CDH. However, this association became non-significant after adjusting for confounding variables.

Associations between the dietary inflammatory index with obesity and body fat in male adolescents

Maryam Gholamalizadeh et al.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the association between the dietary inflammatory index (DII) and body fat percentage (BF%) in male adolescents. The results showed that a diet with a low inflammatory index score was associated with lower BF% in male adolescents, suggesting that a diet rich in anti-inflammatory factors may effectively improve body composition and prevent obesity in adolescents.

Dietary Intake of Adult Residents in Luxembourg Taking Part in Two Cross-Sectional Studies-ORISCAV-LUX (2007-2008) and ORISCAV-LUX 2 (2016-2017)

Farhad Vahid et al.

Summary: The dietary patterns of adult residents in Luxembourg showed changes between the years 2007-2008 and 2016-2017, with an increase in energy, fat, and alcohol intake, and a decrease in carbohydrates, magnesium, and calcium intake. There was also an increase in the consumption of protein and fast foods, and a decrease in the intake of grains, dairy, and vegetables. Despite meeting most micronutrient recommendations, there were discrepancies in the consumption of high energy, fat, and sodium, as well as low carbohydrate intake, compared to balanced eating guidelines.
