The title compound is composed of two trans-fused cyclohexane rings and a chromen-2-one moiety connected by an oxymethylene bridge. In the crystal, the molecules are held together by hydrogen bonds and π-π interactions, resulting in a stable structure.
The title compound, C24H30O4, consists of two trans-fused cyclohexane rings attached to a chromen-2-one moiety through an oxymethylene bridge. The cyclohexane rings adopt half-chair and chair conformations. In the crystal, molecules are linked by C-H center dot center dot center dot O and O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds, forming a triperiodic network. Furthermore, C-H center dot center dot center dot pi interactions stabilize the crystal structure. A Hirshfeld surface analysis revealed that the most important contributions to the crystal packing are from H center dot center dot center dot H (56.9%), O center dot center dot center dot H/H center dot center dot center dot O (23.0%) and C center dot center dot center dot H/H center dot center dot center dot C (19.6%) contacts.
