Summary: This work discusses the convergence of the misalignment square norm (MSN) for NLMS and LMS algorithms. It is found that the decrease in MSN is nearly proportional to the mean square error (MSE), allowing for simple expressions for the steady-state MSE. Additionally, the study proposes a method to limit the duration of large MSE values and provides a curve that limits the MSE of LMS at any given time, regardless of input and noise properties. The analysis becomes simpler for long filters or constant power signals.

Summary: This letter studies the full-duplex self-interference cancellation and power allocation problem for a pulsed dual-functional radar-communication system. A full-duplex design is provided, and the radar signal to interference-plus-noise ratio and communication rate are derived considering imperfect full-duplex self-interference cancellation. A max-min-ratio problem is then formulated to maximize the radar signal to interference-plus-noise ratio under the communication rate constraint.

Summary: The use of in-band full-duplex (FD) technology challenges traditional assumptions in wireless network design by enabling simultaneous transmission and reception on the same frequency band. This capability enhances spectral efficiency and reduces latency, driving the performance expectations of next-generation mobile networks. In less than ten years, in-band FD has progressed from research labs to standards, offering opportunities for wireless network sensing, integrated applications, access and backhaul solutions, and smart signal propagation powered by reconfigurable intelligent surfaces. However, these opportunities bring new challenges for commercial deployment of FD technology, such as managing self-interference, combating cross-link interference in multi-cell networks, and coexistence of different FD configurations.

Summary: This paper investigates the downlink transmission of reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS)-aided cooperative non-orthogonal-multiple-access (C-NOMA), with considerations for both half-duplex (HD) and full-duplex (FD) relaying modes. The goal is to minimize the total transmit power while satisfying the quality of service requirements and power constraints.

Summary: The researchers have proposed a novel beam selection method called Steer for multi-panel, full-duplex mmWave systems, which significantly reduces self-interference between transmit and receive beams while achieving high beamforming gain. By utilizing conventional beam alignment and minimal self-interference measurements, Steer can outperform traditional beam selection methods.

Summary: This paper proposes a novel secure buffer-aided relay selection scheme capable of integrating virtual full-duplex and half-duplex modes. Multiple relays are allowed to share a common packet seamlessly, and the inter-relay interference induced in the virtual full-duplex mode is eliminated through successive interference cancellation. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed scheme outperforms the benchmarks in terms of secrecy outage probability, delay, and average secrecy rate.

Summary: This work introduces a novel full-duplex hybrid beamforming (FD-HBF) technique for millimeter-wave multi-user massive MIMO systems, which can enhance the sum-rate capacity and reduce the hardware cost. The RF-stage and BB-stage are designed to cancel the self-interference and obtain the BB precoder/combiner solutions. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed FD-HBF technique greatly improves the sum-rate capacity compared to the half-duplex counterpart.

Summary: In-band full duplex (IBFD) radio is a key technology for future wireless communication and radar applications, with a major challenge being to mitigate strong self-interference (SI) to ensure the residual SI falls below the receiver's noise floor. Radio frequency (RF) self-interference cancellation (SIC) is essential to prevent saturation of an IBFD receiver by SI. The analog least mean square (ALMS) adaptive filtering architecture is promising for RF SIC in IBFD radios, allowing for implementation with analog components and avoiding power-thirsty digital signal processing. The behavior, performance, and implementation of the ALMS loop are discussed, along with applications in various IBFD radios and future research directions.
