Scapula fractures: a review

Summary: There is a consensus emerging regarding the indications for fixation of fractures involving the glenoid fossa, but the need for fixation of fractures involving other areas still relies heavily on expert opinion. Despite the lack of randomized controlled studies and the limited value of existing systematic reviews that can only pool data from available case series, early reduction and stabilization may benefit certain specific types of fractures.
