Mendelian randomization analysis with survival outcomes

Youngjoo Cho et al.

Summary: Mendelian randomization (MR) is an established approach to assess causal effects of heritable exposures on outcomes, including binary clinical endpoints and censored survival times. It is found that naive application of standard MR approaches to censored survival times may induce significant bias, and practical advice on modeling survival outcomes in MRs is provided through simulations and data analysis.

A General Approach to Sensitivity Analysis for Mendelian Randomization

Weiming Zhang et al.

Summary: Mendelian Randomization (MR) is an instrumental variable method using genetic variants to estimate the effect of exposure on outcome in epidemiological studies. Its success relies on three critical assumptions, hence the need for sensitivity analysis. A general approach for sensitivity analysis in MR studies is proposed to evaluate results.
