Development of integrated asset management model for highway facilities based on risk evaluation

Odey Alshboul et al.

Summary: This study develops an integrated risk management model to reduce the potential hazards of highway networks. By evaluating the risk value and impact on the network of each section, the model identifies the sections whose maintenance will effectively reduce the overall risk. The model's effectiveness is validated on four major highway networks in Florida, demonstrating its capability in reducing the network's overall risk.

Review of risk management studies in public-private partnerships: a scientometric analysis

Robert Osei-Kyei et al.

Summary: This paper reviews the trend of research studies on risk management in public-private partnerships (PPP). The review outcomes show that research on PPP risk management has generally increased over the last decades, with a significant increase in publications in 2005. The majority of the PPP risk management studies have focused on only four key areas of the conventional risk management framework process, while other areas have not been properly explored. This study contributes to PPP knowledge by providing a general overview of risk management in PPP and creating a solid platform for future research efforts.
