The anti-gender movement in Turkey: an analysis of its reciprocal aspects

Summary: The anti-gender movement is actively opposing the gender norms in social, academic, and political arenas, attracting support from fundamentalist, nationalist, and conservative groups. This article argues that recent instances demonstrate the movement's strategic counter-mobilization in terms of its structure, civil engagement, and political influence. Using Turkey as a case study, the authors propose a transversal strategy to challenge the movement by categorizing its recent manifestations.
