Multifaceted investigation of occupational wellbeing profiles among guidance counsellors

Concurrent experiences of work engagement and workaholism: A factor-level profile analysis

Summary: Work engagement and workaholism are two forms of being heavily invested in work, with the former usually described positively and the latter negatively. This study used latent profile analysis (LPA) to examine how these two constructs may coexist. The results identified five profiles: Uninvested, Just Content, Workaholics, Engaged, and Engaged Workaholics. The Uninvested profile reported the highest burnout and turnover intent, followed by Workaholics. The Engaged profile reported less work-to-family conflict compared to the Engaged Workaholic, Workaholic, and Just Content profiles. Theoretical and practical implications are discussed.

Work engagement and its antecedents in remote work: A person-centered view

Summary: This study investigated characteristics associated with employees' ability to cope with the challenges of remote working and identified four distinct work engagement profiles. Most employees had either average or high levels of work engagement, while some experienced a decrease in engagement, influenced by organizational support, home environment functionality, job-related self-efficacy, and job crafting.

Impact of COVID-19 on School Psychology Practices in Canada

Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Teacher Quality of Life: A Longitudinal Study from before and during the Health Crisis

Summary: This study found that the perception of quality of life among Chilean teachers has been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, with a significant decrease in quality of life during the pandemic compared to before. Women and individuals under 45 years old were more significantly affected by the pandemic in terms of both mental and physical health components.
