Feasibility of a Multimodal Telemedical Intervention for Patients with Parkinson's Disease-A Pilot Study

Summary: Symptoms of Parkinson's disease can be well controlled with the help of telemedicine and sensor-based assessments. A multimodal telehealth intervention called TelePark, which includes video visits, a smartphone app, a camera system, and wearable sensors, has been designed to address the shortcomings of individual systems. The feasibility of TelePark has been assessed in 12 patients with PD, with positive results.
