Educational affordances of mobile social media for language teaching and learning: a chinese teacher's perspective

Summary: The educational potential of mobile and social media technologies has become increasingly important with the advancement of modern technology. However, research on the educational use of mobile social media for language learning is still lacking. This study used a qualitative single case study approach to investigate how a language teacher integrated mobile social media in higher education in mainland China. The study aimed to explore the educational affordances of mobile social media for language teaching and learning, and understand the relationship between the teacher's technology use and her private theories about technology integration.
