Perceived Authenticity and Place Attachment: New Findings from Chinese World Heritage Sites

Summary: Building on previous research, this study empirically tested the relationship between tourists' perceived authenticity, place attachment, and loyalty. Contrary to previous studies, the findings indicate that perceived authenticity can be an antecedent to place attachment, and tourists' perceived authenticity of architecture or intangible heritage exhibits various effects on different components of place attachment. Place attachment significantly influences loyalty, and it mediates between perceived authenticity and loyalty.

Feeling Luxe: A Topic Modeling x Emotion Detection Analysis of Luxury Hotel Experiences

Summary: This research explores luxury hotel experiences through topic modeling and emotion detection in online reviews. The findings suggest that people, product-activity & wellness aspects are positively associated with review ratings, while product-food & beverage and physical evidence and place aspects may have mixed effects. Additionally, the process, price, and promotion aspects are negatively associated with review ratings. The results provide insightful implications for hospitality management research and practice in understanding luxury hotel experiences.

The building blocks of luxury accommodation experiences: A meta-ethnographic synthesis

This study utilizes meta ethnographic synthesis of sixteen qualitative studies to propose a new conceptualization of luxury accommodation experience. The findings highlight the emotional, multidimensional, and process-driven nature of luxury accommodation experiences, influenced by social interactions, personal and situational factors. The study also identifies three factors characterizing luxury accommodation experience - congruence, culture, and collaboration, providing a foundational framework for further research in the field of hospitality luxury experience.

Research on luxury hospitality: A systematic review of the literature

This paper presents a systematic review of 681 articles, revealing three main research topics: consumer experience, sustainability, and the impact of Covid-19. The findings show that the definition of luxury hospitality varies depending on different perspectives and the theories most frequently used are related to conspicuous consumption and social value.
