Leonard Ogbonna Ajah et al.

Summary: This study investigates patterns of rape in Ebonyi state, South-East Nigeria. The findings suggest a correlation between recreational drug use by perpetrators and rape of victims. Urban areas have a higher likelihood of rape cases, and victims under the age of 18 are more likely to be raped by neighbors. Measures to prevent drug use and modify legal provisions are crucial in reducing rape incidents, alongside education and empowerment of females.
