Emotional intelligence training as a protective factor for mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic

Michelle R. Persich et al.

Summary: The study found that individuals who received emotional intelligence (EI) training during the COVID-19 pandemic scored lower on depression, suicidal ideation, and state anxiety compared to individuals who received a placebo training. Online EI training appears to be effective in sustaining critical aspects of mental health during subsequent real-life crises.
