Mikusinski's operational calculus for general conjugated fractional derivatives

Arran Fernandez

Summary: Algebraic conjugations can be used to construct modified versions of fractional calculus, such as Mikusinski's operational calculus. By conjugating the operators of standard fractional calculus using arbitrary linear bijections, a general model of fractional calculus can be obtained. This general theory can then be applied to solve fractional differential equations in various settings, including left-sided and right-sided fractional calculus on arbitrary intervals and fractional calculus with respect to functions.

Applying unrigorous mathematics: Heaviside's operational calculus

Colin McCullough-Benner

Summary: This paper discusses the application of unrigorous mathematics in physics and points out that it has not been sufficiently explored in existing philosophical research. The author proposes an alternative view, the robustly inferential conception (RIC), which provides a more natural representation of relevant practices. This is illustrated by a specific case involving Heaviside's use of unrigorous operational calculus to generalize Ohm's law.

Algebraic equations and non-integer orders of fractal operators abstracted from biomechanics

Yajun Yin et al.

Summary: This study investigates the factors determining the order of fractional operators in fractal structure. By generalizing the concept of fractal cell, deriving algebraic equations, and exploring the relation between fractal operators and physical-component operators, the study proposes a conjecture on the specific order of fractional-time operator in fractal structure.

Mikusinski's operational calculus for Prabhakar fractional calculus

Noosheza Rani et al.

Summary: The operational calculus method of Mikusinski is a powerful tool for solving differential equations using abstract algebra. By defining fractional integrals and derivatives of Prabhakar type within Mikusinski's theory and utilizing their fundamental properties, explicit solutions can be found for a general class of linear Prabhakar fractional differential equations, expressed as double or multiple infinite series.

Self-Similar Functional Circuit Models of Arteries and Deterministic Fractal Operators: Theoretical Revelation for Biomimetic Materials

Gang Peng et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a self-similar functional circuit model for bioinspired hemodynamic materials design, which can mimic the blood flow regulation mechanism and simulate physiological or pathological states of blood flow. By establishing a fractal circuit network and fractal admittance operator, the model provides a structural theoretical revelation for the preparation of in vitro hemodynamic bionic materials.

OPERATIONAL CALCULUS FOR THE GENERAL FRACTIONAL DERIVATIVE AND ITS APPLICATIONS

Yuri Luchko

Summary: This paper discusses the general fractional integrals and derivatives with Sonine kernels, constructs an operational calculus of the Mikusinski type, and applies it to initial value problems for fractional differential equations with general fractional derivatives. The solutions are expressed in form of convolution series that generalize the power series for the exponential and the Mittag-Leffler functions.
