Entropy generation on biomagnetic gold-copper/blood hybrid nanofluid flow driven by electrokinetic force in a horizontal irregular channel with bioconvection phenomenon

Seethi Reddy Reddisekhar Reddy

Summary: This study focuses on the time-dependent pulsatile magnetohydrodynamics hybrid nanofluid with entropy optimization and electrokinetic force in a channel. The mathematical model analyzes the flow of copper-gold-blood hybrid nanofluids and obtains exact solutions for velocity, temperature, heat transfer rate, and streamlines using the perturbation approach. The study reveals that the velocity of blood-based Cu-Au hybrid nanofluid increases with the electro-osmotic parameter, and higher copper-gold nanoparticle volume fraction leads to increased entropy generation.

Double diffusion effect on the bio-convective magnetized flow of tangent hyperbolic liquid by a stretched nano-material with Arrhenius Catalysts

Yu-Ming Chu et al.

Summary: The study investigates the impact of double diffusion, activation energy, Brownian motion, thermal radiation, thermophoresis, viscous dissipation, magnetic field, and Joule heating on bioconvection of a tangent hyperbolic nanofluid flow over a vertical stretching porous surface containing microbe. The fluid transport equations are solved using the finite difference method and the effects of key parameters on the fluid's transport properties are depicted in graphs and tables. It is observed that higher dimensionless activation energy leads to a decrease in mass transfer rate at the stretched nanomaterial sheet, and the concentration of the nanofluid near the sheet decreases with an increase in the porosity parameter value, but the opposite behavior is observed far from the sheet.

Characteristics of moving hot block and non-Fourier heat flux model on sinusoidal wavy cavity filled with hybrid nanofluid

Jakeer Shaik et al.

Summary: This paper investigates natural convection in a sinusoidal wavy cavity filled with TiO2-Cu/water hybrid nanofluid, considering the effects of internal heat generation, inclined magnetic field, and thermal radiation. The non-Fourier heat flux model is used to formulate the temperature equation. The study finds that the heat transfer rate and fluid flow are influenced significantly by the internal heat generation and wavy walls. Higher values of the heat generation parameter increase the heat transfer rate but decrease the local Nusselt numbers. Increasing the undulation parameter enhances the complexity of the flow domain and reduces convective transport. Cu nanoparticles exhibit a higher heat transfer rate compared to TiO2 nanoparticles in the presence of a magnetic field. The streamlines are closer to the heated wall and the top of the cold wall as the internal heat generation parameter increases from -2 to 2.

Effect of natural convection on 3D MHD flow of MoS2-GO/H2O via porous surface due to multiple slip mechanisms

Alok Kumar Pandey et al.

Summary: The magnetized flow behaviour of a hybrid nanofluid containing molybdenum disulphide (MoS2) and graphene oxide (GO) nanoparticles, subject to multiple slip mechanisms, natural convection and chemical reaction, is examined in this study. The hybrid nanofluid is prepared by combining MoS2, GO, and a conventional fluid (H2O). The equations of the model are solved using shooting and bvp4c techniques, and are validated against previous research. The study shows that an increase in thermal slip parameter values leads to a depreciation in the thermal field profiles of MoS2-GO/H2O. Additionally, an increase in velocity slip parameter results in an increase in temperature and concentration functions, while the velocity outlines of the MoS2-GO/H2O fluid decrease. Furthermore, an increase in natural convection parameter values leads to an augmentation in the velocity functions and a decline in the concentration function of MoS2-GO/H2O.
