Dopant Diffusion Inhibition in Organic Field-Effect Transistors Using Organic Semiconductor/High-Molecular-Weight Polymer Blends

Jinghai Li et al.

Summary: Molecular contact doping is an efficient strategy to reduce device contact resistance in organic field-effect transistors (OFETs). However, dopant diffusion poses a challenge to its implementation as it hampers device performance. In this study, OFETs based on C8-BTBT-C8 were fabricated and the performance was significantly improved by inserting a layer of the p-dopant F4TCNQ. The diffusion of the dopant was controlled by blending the OSC with PS of different molecular weights, resulting in enhanced long-term device stability.

Flexible fully organic indirect detector for megaelectronvolts proton beams

Sabrina Calvi et al.

Summary: This article presents a flexible, fully organic detector for proton beams. The detector operates in the indirect mode and consists of a polysiloxane-based scintillating layer coupled to an organic phototransistor. It demonstrates mechanical flexibility and low power operation with a limit of detection of 0.026 Gy min(-1). A kinetic model is proposed to accurately reproduce the dynamic response of the device under irradiation. This proton detector shows promise as a real-time particle detection tool for various applications, including experimental scientific research and theranostics.
