Summary: This paper presents a method to remove radio iodine, one of the essential gaseous pollutions in nuclear energy consumption, using an amine-linked covalent organic framework (COF). The flexibility and abundance of NH groups in the COF structure provide a great medium for iodine adsorption from both liquid and gas phases. The experiment results show that NH-COF has better iodine adsorption performance than Hz-COF in both gas phase and solution, indicating its excellent adaptability and high adsorption capacity.
