Regional estimates of noncommunicable diseases associated risk factors among adults in India: results from National Noncommunicable Disease Monitoring Survey

Thilagavathi Ramamoorthy et al.

Summary: This study examines variations in key NCD risk factors within different regions of India based on the National NCD Monitoring Survey. The northeast region had high rates of tobacco and alcohol use, while the south showed the highest prevalence of metabolic risk factors and clustering of multiple risk factors.
