The Steady-State ALTADENA RASER Generates Continuous NMR Signals

Jing Yang et al.

Summary: A method to control the operation of a RASER at a magnetic field of 1.45 T is introduced, using a continuous-flow RASER pumped by PHIP. The system demonstrates five RASER phenomena and matches with simulations based on a theoretical model of two nonlinear-coupled RASER modes.

Parahydrogen-Induced Carbon-13 Radiofrequency Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation

Christopher Nelson et al.

Summary: The feasibility of Carbon-13 Radiofrequency (RF) Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation (C-13 RASER) is demonstrated on a bolus of liquid hyperpolarized ethyl [1-C-13]acetate. The study successfully observed C-13 RASER signals and demonstrated its potential application on biomolecular carriers.

RASER MRI: Magnetic resonance images formed spontaneously exploiting cooperative nonlinear interaction

Soeren Lehmkuhl et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates a different contrast mechanism in MRI by establishing RASER in imaged media. RASER can generate stronger image contrast than conventional MRI by utilizing small local differences in initial population inversion density.

Catalytic Hydrogenation of Trivinyl Orthoacetate: Mechanisms Elucidated by Parahydrogen Induced Polarization

Andrey N. Pravdivtsev et al.

Summary: The study found that in the process of hydrogenation and hyperpolarization using parahydrogen (pH(2)) induced polarization (PHIP) in biochemical applications, multiple vinyl ester groups lead to rapid decomposition and the generation of side reactions.

A Magic Angle Spinning Activated 17O DNP Raser

Michael A. Hope et al.

Summary: The raser effect is achieved through solid effect dynamic nuclear polarization, allowing exceptionally narrow NMR line widths to be recorded, limited only by the magnetic field stability. The reversible activation and deactivation of the raser effect can be modulated by magic angle spinning, adjusting the coherence lifetime of nuclear spins.

Spontaneous Enhancement of Magnetic Resonance Signals Using a RASER

Sergey Korchak et al.

Summary: Nuclear magnetic resonance is often limited by low sensitivity, but hyperpolarization methods have been developed to overcome this issue. A new method combining para-hydrogen enhanced magnetic resonance with the RASER phenomenon can enhance signals significantly.
