Flexible and washable CDs@Eu-MOFs/PVDF multifunctional thin films as highly selective sensing for nitrobenzene and 4-Nitrophenol

Xinlin Wang et al.

Summary: This study investigates the application of metal organic frameworks (MOFs) doped with carbon dots in fluorescence detection. CDs@Eu-MOF/PVDF thin films were prepared through a simple solvothermal method, carbon dots modification, and in-situ growth process. The structure and morphology of the film were characterized using XRD, SEM, FT-IR, and XPS. The results demonstrate that CDs@Eu-MOFs membrane exhibits strong red fluorescence, good stability in methanol solvent, and high selectivity and sensitivity to nitrobenzene and 4-nitrophenol. The CDs@Eu-MOFs/PVDF film material can be utilized for detecting nitrobenzene and 4-nitrophenol in both methanol solvent and gaseous state, with detection limits of 0.2807 mg/L and 0.0168 mg/L in liquid, and 0.346 mg/L and 0.0136 mg/L in gaseous state.
