Analysis of magneto-natural-convection flow in a semi-annulus enclosure filled with a micropolar-nanofluid; a computational framework using CVFEM and FVM

Seyyed Masoud Seyyedi et al.

Summary: In this study, the natural-convection flow of a micropolar-nanofluid (Al2O3/water) in a semi-annulus enclosure with an inclined magnetic field was investigated using numerical simulations. The influence of active parameters on magneto-natural convection was analyzed, and the governing equations were solved using CVFEM and Ansys Fluent CFD code. The results showed that the Nusselt number decreases with increasing Hartmann number and material parameter, while it increases with increasing Rayleigh number and particle volume fraction.

Comprehensive investigations of (Au-Ag/Blood and Cu-Fe3O4/Blood) hybrid nanofluid over two rotating disks: Numerical and computational approach

Muhammad Abdul Basit et al.

Summary: The aim of this study is to investigate the Darcy-Forchheimer flow of a hybrid nano-fluid within two parallel discs. Gold, silver, copper, and iron oxide nanoparticles are combined with blood as the base fluid. The study transforms partial differential systems into ordinary systems using a suitable similarity variables technique. The results show that the hybrid nanofluid significantly improves heat transfer rate and thermal properties, making it an attractive candidate for various thermal applications.

Heat transfer intensification of NEPCM-water suspension filled heat sink cavity with notches cooling tubes by applying the electric field

Mehdi Hashemi-Tilehnoee et al.

Summary: In this study, the effects of an electric field on heat transfer, free convection, and entropy generation of NEPCM dissolved in water in a complex inclined chamber were investigated. The results showed that when an electric field was applied, the buoyancy effect became more pronounced with increasing Rayleigh number and electric field, leading to an increase in the average Nusselt number.

Numerical Analysis of Unsteady Hybrid Nanofluid Flow Comprising CNTs-Ferrousoxide/Water with Variable Magnetic Field

Muhammad Sohail Khan et al.

Summary: This study investigates the impact of hybrid nanofluids on heat and mass transmission under a variable magnetic field, showcasing changes in flow properties at different volume fractions. Results show that an increase in nanomaterial volume significantly affects velocity profiles, with single-wall nanotubes having a greater impact on temperature.

Natural convection in a porous cavity filled (35%MWCNT-65% Fe3O4)/water hybrid nanofluid with a solid wavy wall via Galerkin finite-element process

Fatima Jasim Gumir et al.

Summary: This study analyzed natural convective heat transfer in a square porous cavity with a solid wavy finite wall filled with a (35% MWCNT-65% Fe3O4)/water hybrid nanofluid. The results showed that convection becomes more important as the Darcy number decreases. Additionally, both convection flow and maximum stream function decrease with an increase in both A = 0.1 and N = 1. The average Nusselt number increases with increasing Ra* but decreases with increasing Darcy number and amplitude wave numbers.
