Effect of intrauterine infusion of platelet-rich plasma for women with recurrent implantation failure: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Haiyu Deng et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the effect of intrauterine perfusion of autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) on pregnancy outcomes in women with recurrent implantation failure (RIF). The findings suggest that PRP treatment improved pregnancy outcomes, including clinical pregnancy rate, chemical pregnancy rate, implantation rate, live birth rate, and abortion rate.

Efficacy of intrauterine infusion therapy before embryo transfer in recurrent implantation failure: A systematic review and network meta-analysis

Summary: This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of four intrauterine infusion drugs, including HCG, G-CSF, PBMCs, and PRP, in improving pregnancy outcomes in RIF patients through network meta-analysis. The results showed that all four drugs significantly improved pregnancy outcomes compared to the blank and placebo groups. PRP was found to be the most effective in increasing live birth rate, while G-CSF was significantly better in early abortion intervention.

Summary: This study aims to assess the value of intrauterine platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in improving IVF outcomes in women with previous implantation failure. A total of 29 studies involving 3308 participants were included in the analysis. The results showed that PRP administration improves implantation rate, clinical pregnancy rate, chemical pregnancy rate, ongoing pregnancy rate, live birth rate, and endometrial thickness.

PDGFBB improved the biological function of menstrual blood-derived stromal cells and the anti-fibrotic properties of exosomes

Xudong Zhang et al.

Summary: In this study, the effects of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and PDGFBB on the biological activities of menstrual blood-derived stromal cells (MenSCs) were compared. PDGFBB improved the viability, migration, and stemness of MenSCs through the AKT/NF-kappa B signaling pathway. Additionally, PDGFBB enhanced the inhibitory effects of MenSCs-derived exosomes on endometrial fibrosis by inhibiting YAP activity. These findings provide a potential option for improving the efficacy of stem cells in intrauterine adhesion.

Intrauterine Infusion of Leukocyte-Poor Platelet-Rich Plasma Is an Effective Therapeutic Protocol for Patients with Recurrent Implantation Failure: A Retrospective Cohort Study

Yanna Ban et al.

Summary: This retrospective observational cohort study evaluated the efficacy of autologous leukocyte-poor platelet-rich plasma (LP-PRP) intrauterine infusion in patients with recurrent implantation failure (RIF). The results showed that the beta-human chorionic gonadotropin (beta-hCG)-positive rate, clinical pregnancy rate (CPR), and live birth rate (LBR) were significantly higher in the LP-PRP group compared to the control group, while the miscarriage rate (MR) was similar. The study suggests that LP-PRP treatment can improve the beta-hCG-positive rate, CPR, and LBR in RIF patients undergoing frozen embryo transfer (FET) cycles.

Summary: The study evaluated the effectiveness of intrauterine infusion of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) before embryo transfer (ET) in recurrent implantation failure (RIF) cases. Although PRP infusion did not significantly increase endometrial thickness, it resulted in high pregnancy rates in patients experiencing RIF with or without thin endometrium.

Platelet-rich plasma treatment in patients with refractory thin endometrium and recurrent implantation failure: A comprehensive review

Min Kyoung Kim et al.

Summary: Refractory thin endometrium and recurrent implantation failure pose significant challenges to successful pregnancy. While adjuvant therapies have been explored, their effectiveness is limited and costly. Recent research suggests that platelet-rich plasma (PRP), with its regenerative properties and easy accessibility, could be a better treatment option.

Role of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) in Human Embryo Implantation: Clinical Implications

Xi Guo et al.

Summary: VEGF is a well-known angiogenic factor that plays a critical role in embryo implantation by enhancing embryo development and facilitating interactions between the embryo and endometrium. Changes in VEGF expression are correlated with reproductive failure, including recurrent implantation failure and recurrent miscarriage. This study aimed to clarify the role of VEGF in embryo implantation by reviewing recent literature and exploring its effects and underlying mechanisms.
