Differential expression and effect analysis of lncRNA-mRNA in congenital pseudarthrosis of the tibia

Zhuoyang Li et al.

Summary: This study analyzed the lncRNA-mRNA differential expression and co-expression network in periosteal stem cells (PSCs) from congenital pseudarthrosis of the tibia (CPT) patients. The results identified 194 differentially expressed lncRNAs and 822 differentially expressed mRNAs. Functional analysis showed that the differentially expressed mRNAs were mainly involved in skeletal system development and tissue morphogenesis. A co-expression network and 10 key lncRNAs were also identified.

Knockdown of circ_0026579 ameliorates lipopolysaccharide (bacterial origin)-induced inflammatory injury in bronchial epithelium cells by targeting miR-338-3p/TBL1XR1 axis

Shen Cheng et al.

Summary: The study identified that circ_0026579 RNA plays a crucial role in LPS-induced bronchopneumonia injury by regulating the expression levels of miR-338-3p and TBL1XR1, affecting cell proliferation, apoptosis, and inflammation. Inhibition of circ_0026579 RNA or TBL1XR1 protein could alleviate LPS-induced cell injury in BEAS-2B cells.

Analysis of risk factors affecting union and refracture after combined surgery for congenital pseudarthrosis of the tibia: a retrospective study of 255 cases

Zhuoyang Li et al.

Summary: This study aimed to identify the factors affecting bone union and re-fracture after surgery for congenital pseudarthrosis of the tibia (CPT). The results showed that for patients with Crawford IV CPT treated by combined surgery, the younger the age at index surgery and the closer the CPT location to the distal end, the easier to achieve bone union.

Circular RNA circ_0008365 regulates SOX9 by targeting miR-338-3p to inhibit IL-1β-induced chondrocyte apoptosis and extracellular matrix degradation

Shengbin Shuai et al.

Summary: This study found that circRNA_0008365 alleviates IL-1 beta-induced damage in CHON-001 cells by regulating the miR-338-3p/SOX9 axis, suggesting that circRNA_0008365 may be a new therapeutic target for osteoarthritis (OA). Exosomal circRNA_0008365 also showed great value in diagnosing OA.

Epidemiological and clinical characteristics of congenital pseudarthrosis of the tibia in China

Yijun Zhou et al.

Summary: This retrospective study analyzed the clinical characteristics of 514 patients with congenital pseudarthrosis of the tibia (CPT). The results showed that Crawford IV CPT had a higher incidence in boys and commonly occurred in the middle or distal part of the tibia. Most patients had an onset age and first outpatient visit before 3 years. The major surgical complications were ankle valgus and limb length discrepancy.

hsa_circ_0001018 promotes papillary thyroid cancer by facilitating cell survival, invasion, G1/S cell cycle progression, and repressing cell apoptosis via crosstalk with miR-338-3p and SOX4

Qiang Luo et al.

Summary: The study identified a novel interactome circ_0001018/miR-338-3p/SOX4 in papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) and demonstrated that circ_0001018 acts as a tumor promoter by sponging miR-338-3p to elevate SOX4 expression level in PTC, promoting cell proliferation, migration, and invasion. These findings suggest that this interaction axis may be a potential therapeutic target for PTC.
