The AP-1 transcription factor Fosl-2 drives cardiac fibrosis and arrhythmias under immunofibrotic conditions

Mara Stellato et al.

Summary: The role of transcription factor Fosl-2 in promoting myocardial fibrosis, arrhythmias, and aberrant response to stress under immunofibrotic conditions is described using a mouse model and human cardiac fibroblasts. These results demonstrate that under immunofibrotic conditions, transcription factor Fosl-2 exaggerates myocardial fibrosis, arrhythmias, and aberrant response to stress.

Differences in Immunohistochemical and Ultrastructural Features between Podocytes and Parietal Epithelial Cells (PECs) Are Observed in Developing, Healthy Postnatal, and Pathologically Changed Human Kidneys

Marin Ogorevc et al.

Summary: During human kidney development and under pathological conditions, changes in the proliferation and differentiation capabilities of cells, as well as the expression pattern of key proteins, indicate potential roles in treating kidney diseases and restoring glomerular integrity.
