Robust Multi-View Clustering With Incomplete Information

Mouxing Yang et al.

Summary: The success of existing multi-view clustering methods heavily relies on the assumption of view consistency and instance completeness. However, due to data collection and transmission, these assumptions are inevitably violated, resulting in the Partially View-unaligned Problem (PVP) and Partially Sample-missing Problem (PSP). To address these challenges, a novel method called robuSt mUlti-view clusteRing with incomplEte information (SURE) is proposed, providing a unified framework for solving PVP and PSP. SURE uses a contrastive learning paradigm and a noise-robust contrastive loss to reduce the influence of false negatives caused by random sampling. It is one of the first successful attempts to handle PVP and PSP simultaneously and addresses the novel paradigm of noisy labels. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of SURE compared to 10 state-of-the-art approaches in multi-view clustering.

Low-Rank Tensor Graph Learning for Multi-View Subspace Clustering

Yongyong Chen et al.

Summary: Graph and subspace clustering methods have become mainstream in multi-view clustering. However, they suffer from decreased performance when dealing with noisy and outlier-distorted raw data, as well as failing to explore high correlation. To address these issues, we propose a novel multi-view clustering method called Low-Rank Tensor Graph (LRTG). LRTG simultaneously learns representation and affinity matrix, using Tucker decomposition and l(2,1)-norm to mitigate noise, and an adaptive neighbor scheme to form a flexible graph for clustering. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of LRTG over seventeen state-of-the-art clustering methods.

Fast Parameter-Free Multi-View Subspace Clustering With Consensus Anchor Guidance

Siwei Wang et al.

Summary: Multi-view subspace clustering is an effective method to fuse multi-view information, but existing methods have low efficiency in large-scale applications. To address this issue, this paper proposes a novel subspace clustering method called FPMVS-CAG, which integrates anchor selection and subspace graph construction, and has advantages of linear time complexity and no need for hyper-parameters. Experimental results demonstrate that FPMVS-CAG performs better in both effectiveness and efficiency compared to existing methods.

Multiview Clustering: A Scalable and Parameter-Free Bipartite Graph Fusion Method

Xuelong Li et al.

Summary: This paper presents a scalable and parameter-free graph fusion framework for multiview clustering, seeking a joint graph compatible across multiple views in a self-supervised weighting manner. The method overcomes common issues such as intractable hyper-parameters and time overheads, and exhibits good initialization independence and time economy. Experimental results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed method in terms of clustering performance and time expenditure compared to existing methods.

Consensus Graph Learning for Multi-View Clustering

Zhenglai Li et al.

Summary: This novel multi-view clustering method constructs an essential similarity graph in a spectral embedding space, addressing the issue of noise and redundancy from learning similarity graph directly from original features. By imposing a weighted tensor nuclear norm constraint, it captures high-order consistent information and effectively handles clustering of multi-view datasets.

Differentiable Bi-Sparse Multi-View Co-Clustering

Shide Du et al.

Summary: In this paper, an effective differentiable network approach is proposed for multi-view co-clustering, combining the strong interpretability of classical machine learning methods and the superior performance of deep networks. The proposed methods can learn a joint and consistent collaborative representation from multi-source features, guaranteeing sparsity and utilizing block-wise iterative training within deep network frameworks. Extensive experiments show that the proposed frameworks outperform other state-of-the-art multi-view clustering methods on six benchmark datasets.

Generalized Nonconvex Low-Rank Tensor Approximation for Multi-View Subspace Clustering

Yongyong Chen et al.

Summary: The low-rank tensor representation (LRTR) boosts multi-view clustering performance by utilizing pairwise and view relations, but it provides a biased estimation of the tensor rank function. To address this limitation, the generalized nonconvex low-rank tensor approximation (GNLTA) is proposed, which achieves better clustering performance by capturing high-order correlation among multiple views. Extensive experiments demonstrate that GNLTA outperforms state-of-the-art methods on benchmark databases.

Controlling Symmetries and Clustered Dynamics of Complex Networks

Lucia Valentina Gambuzza et al.

Summary: Symmetries play a crucial role in regulating collective dynamics in complex networks, and this study focuses on controlling network symmetries and enforcing patterned states of synchronization. By perturbing the original network connectivity with minimal changes, desirable clustering of nodes can be achieved. The stability conditions of enforced patterns are derived and the method's performance is illustrated with examples relevant to various practical scenarios.
