Constructing an Interfacial Gradient Heterostructure Enables Efficient CsPbI3 Perovskite Solar Cells and Printed Minimodules

Shan Tan et al.

Summary: A gradient heterostructure based on low-temperature post-treatment of quaternary bromide salts is demonstrated to improve the performance of CsPbI3 perovskite solar cells. The structure exhibits impressive efficiency and fill factor, where bromide ions heal defects and inhibit cluster formation, thus reducing nonradiative recombination. In addition, the gradient distribution of bromide ions and surface termination of organic cations result in a more compatible interfacial energy level alignment, promoting charge separation and collection.
